Reports to: Guest Services Manager
Job Summary: The Dining Room Server will provide a superior level of hospitality to all guests, offering drinks, lunch and dinner service. You will deliver friendly, passionate and efficient service, complying with all food and beverage regulations.
Job Duties
- Adhering to all The Keg’s steps of service to consistently deliver The Keg experience
- Setting up, cleaning, stocking your station, while maintaining sanitation and organization standards
- Interact with guests, assessing their needs and preferences while also making recommendations, providing your personal suggestions, being informative of features
- Always taking responsibility for ensuring a positive guest experience
- Maximize sales opportunities by becoming an expert on all menu offerings and demonstrating salesmanship by suggestively selling
- Provide genuine hospitality by engaging with guests throughout their entire experience, maintaining a positive personality throughout
- Following company standards and timing in greeting, taking orders, delivering orders, and billing
- Good knowledge of wine selection, wine service and liquor and beer offerings
- Handling cash and card transactions, ensuring charges and change are accurate
- Practice a very high level of communication and teamwork with peers and management
- Clean and stock agreed designated areas by following checklist procedures and opening or closing routines
- Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of professionalism by following the company dress code; maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times
- Protect the health and safety of others by adopting safe work practices and reporting unsafe conditions immediately
Job Requirements
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality
- Possess a strong work ethic with a desire to achieve team goals
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage your time during high volume and busy times
- Being physically able to move quickly, stand and walk for long periods of time 8+ hours and lift at least 50 pounds
- Legally allowed to serve alcohol
