We are actively seeking a Marketing Director to join our team, working in-person out of our Halifax office with our highly skilled, motivated, and collaborative team.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role is ideally suited for someone who is creative, organized, and strategically minded. This is a great opportunity to help innovate in the healthcare space and build professional experience in Halifax’s thriving start-up community.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Strategic Planning
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and adapt the strategy accordingly.
- Coordinate with executive leadership to align marketing strategies with overall business goals.
Evaluation and Reporting
- Measure and analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and activities across multiple channels including email, social media, and the company website.
- Generate detailed reports outlining key performance indicators (KPIs), audience engagement, and return on investment (ROI).
- Make informed recommendations for future marketing initiatives and improvements.
Content Creation
- Lead the planning, creation, and distribution of high-quality, relevant content that resonates with healthcare professionals and institutions.
- Work closely with the team to ensure all content aligns with the brand voice, style, and messaging.
- Employ creative thinking to develop innovative marketing campaigns that will engage and educate our target audience.
Build Partnerships
- Identify potential partnerships with medical associations, healthcare organizations, and industry influencers.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within these organizations.
- Utilize partnerships to expand brand reach and credibility within the healthcare industry.
Brand Development
- Work on building and sustaining brand awareness through both online and offline channels.
- Create and implement brand guidelines to ensure consistency in all marketing materials.
- Actively monitor brand perception and make strategic adjustments as needed.
Public Relations
- Write and distribute press releases to announce new products, partnerships, or other company news.
- Arrange media interviews for key executives and subject matter experts to increase brand visibility.
- Handle crisis communication, managing and mitigating any negative press or social media activity.
Event Planning
- Identify relevant conferences and industry events that align with the company's objectives and secure participation or sponsorship opportunities.
- Take the lead in coordinating logistics for the company's presence at conferences, including booth setup, promotional materials, and staff scheduling.
- Independently plan and coordinate educational sessions, such as webinars and workshops, aimed at healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include selecting topics, arranging speakers, and ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
Key Qualifications
- A post-secondary education in marketing or communications. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the marketing field
- Basic knowledge of graphic design
- Familiarity with the healthcare system is a plus
