We are in active search for experienced aluminum siding / exterior cladding installers to join our clients construction team in Halifax. These are full time permanent roles with a fantastic local company!
- Minimum of 3 years construction experience with excellent hand and power tools experience
- Experience installing siding and exterior cladding (aluminum panels),(tonality,tempio, favemanc tile), (metal IMP panels)
- Details for this position, the daily tasks, and the overall expectations of this role in our company’s Halifax operations. 45hours/week within our typical 7:00 am to 430pm. Specific Skills Required: Experience with commercial construction sites is an asset. A hard work ethic is necessary for this role. You will be conducting on site construction as a cladder. * Prepping sub structure (Z girt and strapping installation) for exterior wall finishes * Cutting and passing various exterior cladding materials. * Applying exterior cladding such as metal siding, wood siding, cement board siding. * Applying exterior vapor barrier products, such as peel and stick or adhesive based Blueskin, 3M and other. * Applying exterior insulations such as cavity rock with pin installed, rigid insulations, and other. * Applying caulking and sealants on various transitions between finishes. * Operating a scissor lift, elevated platform and other. * Maintaining a clean workstation and job work area. * Following commercial safety standards. * All sites will be mainly commercial jobs, and some residential is also possible. An apprenticeship journey can be facilitated once hired. Means of transportation is necessary for this role for varying job locations throughout H.R.M. Nova Scotia. Previous experience is not a must, however experience is highly valued. Most jobs are within Halifax, Bedford, Dartmouth – further extensive travel to sites can be coordinated. Starting wage with minimum experience approx. $22.00-$31.00 per hour – negotiable depending on individual’s background. Training, safety credentials, elevated platform and fall arrest training, etc. - course upgrades necessary for site will be facilitated by Reddick Brothers. Other particulars including salary, perks, and potential growth within this trade will be discussed post-interview and pre-hire.
